Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You have guaranteed consumer rights including:

  • Products must be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose

  • Right to repair, replacement, or refund for faulty goods

  • Protection against misleading conduct

For major faults, you're entitled to a refund or replacement. For minor faults, we may offer repair.

Outdoor Nook Warranty

In addition to your consumer law rights, we offer this voluntary warranty to the original purchaser:

Frame & Structure: 5 years from purchase date
Cushions: 2 years from purchase date

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential outdoor use.

What We Cover

Frames:

  • Structural failures in aluminium frame

  • Defects in powder-coating

  • Mechanical failures in reclining mechanisms

  • Manufacturing defects in joints or welds

Cushions:

  • Defects causing abnormal foam breakdown

  • Manufacturing defects in construction

  • Fabric strength loss from normal use

Note: Cushions naturally soften and flatten with use—this is normal, not a defect.

What We Don't Cover

Normal wear:

  • Colour fading from UV exposure

  • Normal cushion softening or compression

  • Minor colour or texture variations

Improper care:

  • Lack of regular maintenance

  • Damage from wrong cleaning products

  • Use of chemicals, pool treatments, or sunscreen on furniture

  • Commercial or indoor use

External factors:

  • Mould or mildew (preventable with proper care)

  • Extreme weather (storms, floods, bushfires, hail)

  • Vandalism, pets, or pests

  • Heat damage or flames

Australian conditions require extra care:
Coastal salt spray, tropical humidity, extreme UV, and pool chlorine can damage furniture if not properly maintained. See our Care & Maintenance guide.

  • Proof of purchase

  • Photos of the defect

  • Description of the problem

  • Order number

We'll assess your claim within 5 business days. If approved, we'll repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.

Important Notes

  • Proof of purchase required for all claims

  • Inspect furniture on delivery and report damage within 48 hours

  • Regular maintenance required (see Care & Maintenance)

  • Warranty covers residential outdoor use only

  • Non-transferable (original purchaser only)
